The first LaxLessons.com Top 25 Tristate regular-season rankings have been published.
Now, it’s time to get Week 2 of the season started for Long Island and CHSAA teams.
For teams in the Hudson Valley and New Jersey, this will be the first full week of the regular season.
For public schools in Connecticut, Monday marks the first day of official practices and tryouts.
Week 1 could include some unwelcome snow with possible postponements in store. For more on that, click here.
No precipitation is in store for Monday, but temps will be colder than normal.
The first intersectional game in Section 1 is set for today as Mamaroneck (N.Y.) hosts Bronxville (N.Y.) at 6 p.m. This is a matchup of defending Section 1 champions and Bronxville’s season opener. The Tigers started the season on Saturday, March 22 with a 13-8 loss at Wantagh.
In another Section 1 opener, Sleepy Hollow hosts Route 9 rival Irvington.
Trinity-Pawling (N.Y.) continues its Maryland trip with another big test in at Calvert Hall (6-0) in a 4 p.m. game. The Pride is coming off a 21-7 loss at Boys Latin (MD).
Back to the tristate, defending Nassau County (N.Y.) Class C champion Friends Academy hosts Nassau Class A finalist Port Washington.
A new era at Kennedy Catholic in New York’s Hudson Valley starts today as the Gaels play their first-ever CHSAA game, against visiting St. Dominic (N.Y.).
