The Section 1 boys lacrosse championship tripleheader will be back at White Plains High School this coming season.
Glenn D. Loucks Field will host the event for the third time in the last four years. Last year’s games were played at the Suffern Middle School Sports Complex after being held at WPHS the previous two seasons, with the 2009 season marking the first year they were played there.
While Loucks Field did not host the sectional finals, it did play host to the downstate semifinals.
The 2012 downstate semifinals will be held at Stony Brook University.
For the first time, Middletown High School will be the host site of the state finals.
Now, some recruiting news.
If you checked our “Updated recruiting review and commitment rundown” today, as well as on Twitter, you learned that junior lefty attackman Zack Bartolo of Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk, Conn., verballed to Notre Dame.
Meanwhile, there’s some news about a sophomore in the region who has not yet decided on a college.
Greenwich High School coach Scott Bulkley informed me today that sophomore Jack Harrington “is getting a ton of interest from every Top 10 school and every Ivy.”
The 6-foot-3 Harrington, a defenseman, performed well over the summer at Jake Reed’s Nike Blue Chip Camp for the Rising Sophomores at UMBC.
Stay tuned.
